Double Up Farms
Moon's Landscaping Service was started when our
owner, Pat Moon was twelve. Every week he helped
his Grandfather by mowing his yard and doing odd
outside jobs. Through this experience and with the
knowledge was passed on, a passion was sparked.

The next summer, he used a 1970 push mower, and
cut two lawns weekly. Through his attention to detail
and prompt service, his customer base grew until he
was 16, when he was able to purchase a vehicle and
trailer. With this home built trailer, his service area
was able to expand.

In 1995, Moon's Landscaping Service was awarded
the restoration contract for St. Ignatius College
Prep., to complete the total landscape renovation in
preparation for their 125th anniversary celebration.
Based on the skill exhibited, Moon's was awarded
more renovation contracts in the Lincoln Park area
of Chicago. The company grew in size, employee
base, and service area.

In 2001, the organization underwent a name change
to Double Up Farms. Today, Double Up Farms,
serves our loyal client base in the maintenance,
installation, and fertilization specialties. In 2011, we
will expand our services to include municipal
organizations!
